Within 3 years Mercedes will present 5 new SUVs
Till 2019 the company Mercedes plans to show minimum 5 new SUVs. There will be the next generations of existing models as well as completely new vehicles.
In 2018 a new generation of Mercedes-Benz GLE appears. A current crossover was sold under this label in 2015, but in fact it is the third M-Class generation and it is available from 2011. It is obvious that a generational change is already overdue.
The same year a premiere of a new Gelandewagen will be. The new G-Class will remain outwardly recognizable, virtually maintain its dimensions (the width will increase only). A new platform, as they say, will reduce the weight of the SUV almost by 400 kg.
The new Gelandewagen will receive the most advanced electronic security systems, as well as a completely new automatic transmission.
Probably closer to the end of 2019 the Germans will present a new generation of GLA compact crossover, built on a modified platform MFA2.
The SUV is officially certified under the sub-brand Maybach.
Dieter Zetsche, a head of the concern Daimler AG informed at the beginning of the year, that the Bentley Bentayga would compete a Mercedes-Benz vehicle at the Detroit Motor Show.
The most interesting novelty, in our opinion, will be Mercedes GLB. It is a completely new model of the brand, which is based on the platform MFA2.
Judging by the marking, the crossover takes an intermediate position between the GLA and GLC. The GLB will remind the Gelendvagen by angularity of its design. The debut is expected in 2019.
