Volkswagen Will Show The Concept Of The Tesla’s Model S Rival At The Geneva Motor Show
Volkswagen plans to release a competitor of the Tesla Model S – a premium electric sedan based on the I.D. Vizzio Concept. It will be the fourth car of the I.D. family.
The concepts of a compact hatchback, a SUV and a minivan – the VW I.D., VW I.D. Crozz II and VW I.D. Buzz were shown before.
Several new teasers are available on the Internet, showing a sloping roof, swing doors, LED-optics and large wheels. In the cabin there are four comfortable seats and, what is noteworthy, you do not see the usual control elements – pedals and a steering wheel.
It is known that the car is equipped with two electric motors with a total output of 302 hp, providing acceleration to top 180 km/h. The capacity of the lithium-ion battery is 111 kWh (!), which will allow the vehicle to travel up to 665 km without recharging.
Let’s remind that the first of the the I.D. family to be launched in series production is the Volkswagen I.D. followed by the Crozz and Buzz, and later by the Vizzion.
