Volkswagen Teases With A Video Of The New Touareg On The Eve Of Its Premiere
On the eve of the official premiere, which will be held on March 23 in Beijing, Volkswagen continues to unveil details about the 2019 Volkswagen Touareg, – a new video featuring the model has been published.
What do we know about the novelty judging by spy photos and videos?
It has a large panoramic roof, sporty design of exhausts, sleek taillights with active turn indicators, a prominent shoulder line, a massive radiator grille, and in the interior there is a dial on which you can select the driving mode depending on external conditions (like Terrain Response from Land Rover).
Not being a direct rival to the Audi Q7, the new Touareg, however, in terms of interior and technology can compete with it, while maintaining the VW balance of price and quality.
The SUV, as we known, is built on the MLB platform – the same chassis the latest Audi Q7, Bentley Bentayga and Lamborghini Urus use.
The new-generation VW Touareg received two 3.0-liter 6-cylinder motors – a diesel 286-hp and a more powerful petrol of 340 hp. We can also expect a version of the model with an electric motor, most likely a plug-in hybrid, it is a characteristic trend of all brands owned by the Volkswagen Group.
A Touareg for the Auto Show in Beijing has already left Bratislava, where they assemble the Tuaregs, now it is ‘on its four’ going to the Chinese capital.
