The Chevrolet Malibu Sedan Has Been Restyled And Got A New RS Version
The updated Chevrolet Malibu of 2019 model year has been officially presented. The exterior of the model is refreshed, especially a front fascia, minor changes are in the interior. But the main news are that now the car is available in a sports RS version for fans of drive.
The notable changes are the front and rear fascia, radiator grilles, exhaust pipe tips, taillights and headlights. The latter are LEDs in Premier trim only.
The Chevrolet Malibu RS borrows some cues from the Traverse RS and the Cruze RS. This version externally features a black sports grille, unique 18-inch wheels, a rear spoiler, a brand emblem also black and dual-outlet exhaust.
Similar style elements can be found in the cabin: leather steering wheel and shifter, black cloth seats in the standard, an 8-inch touch screen of the new Chevrolet Infotainment 3.
The car’s technical part is improved: Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, faster processing, more apps, better graphics, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot.
Although the exterior of the car is more aggressive now, the powertrain has not changed. Under the hood we see the same 1.5-liter turbo engine with 163 hp (121 kW) and 249 Nm of torque paired with a CVT. More powerful motor of 2.0 liters and 250 hp (186 kW, 352 Nm) is available in the top Premier trim.
The company promises the Malibu RS will cost about $25,000.
