Skoda Rapid obtained its first service pack
The Czech automaker has presented the facelifts of a liftback Skoda Rapid and a hetchback Rapid Spaceback, developed on its basis. The main innovations are bi-xenon optics and a 3-cylinder engine.
Changes in appearance of the 2017 Skoda Rapid are mainly reduced to new bumpers, revised design of head optics and new sets of wheels sized 15-17 inches.
With regard to the above-mentioned bi-xenon headlights, they will be optional. The optics is in kit with a beam assistant that automatically adapts power of light beams in front of oncoming traffic.
Another significant innovation is a 1.0-liter engine of Volkswagen. This 3-cylinder engine will be offered in two versions – with capacity of 95 and 110 hp.
In addition to the new engine the following versions will be offered to customers: a gasoline 1.4 TSI (125 hp) motor and two diesel engines – 1.4 TDI (90 hp) and 1.6 TDI (116 hp).
The new Rapid itself will be presented at the Motor Show in Geneva at the beginning of the next month.
