Skoda Develops A ‘Hot’ Version Of The Kodiaq Flag Crossover
The high-performance version of the Skoda Kodiaq flagship crossover is likely to be introduced in the second half of 2018. The pre-series model has been already passing road tests, during which it got into the cameras of spies.
The Kodiaq RS is run in Nürburgring race track. The exterior is hidden by protective camouflage, but there is no doubt that this is a hot version of the SUV.
Most likely, the new car will officially be presented at the Paris Motor Show in October 2018. Before the end of the year the Skoda Kodiaq RS will start arriving at dealerships.
Last year, Skoda’s head of research and development, Christian Strube, said in an interview with the Auto Express that the RS models of the brand had good prospects and would be expanded.
The only engine that can be offered for the Kodiaq RS is a 2.0-liter diesel one with 240 hp. True, this is still insider information.
Somewhat later, a more powerful petrol engine can be provided for the hot SUV. Perhaps, it will be the 300-horsepower unit, which is now installed on the Volkswagen Golf R hot hatch.
