Refreshed Jeep Renegade Got New Engines And Easy Facelift
The Jeep Renegade, the smallest SUV in the model range of the brand, got an updated exterior and new motors after restyling.
The design of the Jeep Renegade remained practically unchanged, which is natural, given that it is an intermediate restyling in the middle of the model’s life cycle. New bumpers and headlamps, peculiar tail lights, a bit different fog lights – that’s probably the main innovation in the exterior.
Much more changes are in the technical part, more precisely in the motor range. The Renegade received just three new petrol engines. This is a three-cylinder 1.0-liter engine with 120 hp, as well as 1.3-liter four-cylinder ones with 150 and 180 hp.
The diesel engines remained the same: a 1.6-liter 120-hp and a 2.0-liter with 170 hp.
Although the Jeep Renegade was designed with a focus on Europe, the SUV is not very popular here. For example, according to the results of sales in April 2018, it hardly entered the seventh ten of the consolidated rating with the result of 6,563 cars sold.
As the AutoUniversum previously reported, next two years nine new and updated Jeep models will be presented, including the second-generation Renegade.
