The Range Rover Velar SVR Prototype Has Been Seen at the Nürburgring
In 2018 the debut of the most powerful modification of the Range Rover Velar SUV is expected. The SVR flag version is in full swing being prepared for production. Spies noticed a test prototype on the Nürburgring track, where it demonstrated the capabilities of a 5-liter V8.
The new Land Rover crossover in its hot edition perfectly coped with the insidious turns of the legendary German track.
At the car maker’s they have officially confirmed that the Velar SVR will be equipped with the 5.0-liter V8 engine of 562 hp. The same motor is already used on the hot Range Rover Sport SVR.
At the moment, the most powerful version of the Range Rover Velar is the P380. Its 6-cylinder engine provides acceleration to 100 km/h in 5 seconds.
On spy photos it is visible, that camouflage hides not only a sports body kit, but also the whole body. However, several other air ducts on the front bumper, different side skirts and, of course, sports wheels with powerful brake calipers are already noticeable.
On the Velar SVR the suspension is modified, the exhaust system will provide a strong sporting sound.
The Range Rover Velar SVR is expected to be available later this year.
At the end of this month Jaguar Land Rover will present another hot SUV – a SVR-version of the Jaguar F-Pace. It will be presented at the Motor Show in New York.
