The Next-Generation Ford Kuga Is Seen On Tests In Southern Europe
Spies photographed the Ford Kuga during tests on the roads of southern Europe. The model has not been changed significantly for the last 6 years, and a new generation has matured, the Carscoops informs.
Judging by the photos, a production model has been passing the tests, promised to be presented in 2020. The body looks longer and wider than its predecessor, the wheel arches are widened.
It’s worth noting, the crossover is in stable demand in the US, where it is sold under the name of Ford Escape, – 308,296 cars were purchased last year. In Europe its popularity is growing dynamically.
In 2017 Europeans bought 150,000 cars, and over the past 4 years about 20,000 Ford Kugas have been sold on the European car market. Therefore, upgrade is completely logical.
What can we expect from a new generation? – Most likely, more space, comfort and quality in the interior, a new infotainment system, more modern electronic assistants for driver.
Ford has already revealed that the next-generation SUV will be offered with fewer build combinations to reduce costs.
The engine range has not been confirmed yet. We can expect the model will be available with the latest versions of the EcoBoost motor. Also, the plug-in hybrid version may appear, as part of the company’s strategy to lanch 24 plug-in hybrids by 2022.
