The Geneva Motor Show 2018: what new cars are expected?
One of the largest automotive exhibitions in the world – the Geneva Motor Show – will open its doors in early March, according to tradition. In 2018 in the Swiss capital a lot of new products and concepts will be shown. AutoUniversum has selected the most interesting of them, from our point of view, of course.
Press days at the Geneva Motor Show this year are scheduled for March 6 and 7, and from 8 to 18 the showrooms will be open to all comers.
We’lll not rank the novelties, but put automakers alphabetically. So, Audi will bring a new generation of its A6 sedan and the Audi A6 Avant wagon.
Bentley will show two new versions of its crossover – the ‘budget’ Bentley Bentayga V8 and the hybrid Bentley Bentayga PHEV.
Hyundai: a new generation of the Hyundai Santa Fe and the Hyundai Kona Electric;
Jaguar: the Jaguar I-Pace EV;
Kia: a new generation of the Kia Ceed and a stylish version of the Kia Rio GT-Line;
Land Rover: a two-door Range Rover SV Coupe of 300,000 dollars;
McLaren: the McLaren Senna supecar (800,000 dollars);
Mercedes: a new generation of the Mercedes-Benz A-Class and a four-door version of the Mercedes-AMG GT sports car;
SEAT: a hot SEAT Ateca Cupra SUV;
Skoda: an updated Skoda Fabia and a conceptual compact Skoda Vision X SUV;
Toyota: the Toyota Gazoo Racing Supra sports car;
Volvo: a new generation of the Volvo V60;
It is not, of course, the whole list of models that will be exhibited in Geneva this year, but, we repeat, we singled out the most interesting premieres, in our opinion.
