Ford Ka+ has been updated and got a cross-version
The smallest in the Ford’s model family five-door Ka+ has survived restyling. The European version of the city car not only got a richer “stuffing”, but a cross-version Active too.
Distinctive features of the offroad modification will be clearance increased by 23 mm and a reconfigured suspension. The body will be equipped with a plastic protection of arches and sills, on the roof there will be railings, and, to top it all, the novelty will be put on the original R15 wheels.
Ford Ka+ Active
As part of the the Ford’s Ka+ power lineup there are a couple of petrol and one diesel unit. The first are 70- and 85-hp 1.2 engines, and the diesel is a 1.5 unit with an output of 95 hp. The motors will be aggregated with a non-alternative 5-speed automatic transmission.
The restyled version of the hatchback will be equipped with a push-button start of the engine, an assistant when started off downhill and an innovative company’s multimedia Sync 3 with a 6.5-inch touchscreen and a smartphone support. Also, the car will have a MyKey system, which allows to limit the functionality, for example, the maximum speed of driving or the sound volume of the audio system, which is especially important for beginners.
Sales of the updated Ford Ka+ and its cross-version will begin in the German market at the end of 2018. The price list starts at the level of 9,990 euros.
