Ford Introduced A Delivery Van Based On The Fiesta Hatchback
At the exhibition of commercial vehicles in Birmingham, United Kingdom, Ford first has demonstrated a new Fiesta Van model and new mobile in-car Internet technologies.
The Fiesta Van has jointed the Ford Transit lineup, which includes the Transit Custom, Transit Connect and the Transit Courier models.
Ford also announced its two first commercial vehicles in Europe to be equipped with the mobile in-car Internet connection function.
Among other key presentations of the company at the exhibition of commercial vehicles there are innovative solutions for urban transport, used in hybrid cars with recharging from the electricity network of the Transit Custom. They are part of the experimental fleet in London.
In addition, the concept of electronic service is presented to improve the delivery efficiency at the last mile to the consumer door.
Ford has also demonstrated the new Ranger Wildtrak X for the first time.
Ford sells many commercial vehicles in Europe. The last three years the company was one of the leaders in this niche. 93,200 LCVs have already been sold since the beginning of 2018. This is the highest Ford’s commercial result for the first quarter since 1993.
