The car, which instead of cee’d will be called simply Ceed, was designed and developed in Europe and competes with the Volkswagen Golf, Ford Focus and the Vauxhall Astra.

It is enlarged in length and width, there are more straight lines in the exterior – for a sporty look The brand’s ‘Tiger’s Nose’ radiator grille has become wider, the air intake is placed lower.

‘Ice cube’ LED daytime running lights will now become standard for all future generations of the Ceed. The wide racks behind the rear doors, a kind of the Kia’s trademark, contrast with the curved rear LED lights look.

In general, the quality of the interior is improved, while retaining the typical design of Kia with a two-part dashboard. At the top there is a standard touchscreen, at the bottom – controls for stereo and ventilation.

Due to the lower position of the driver’s seat, there is more space in front. The rear passengers got more space for the shoulders. The Ceed’s trunk of 395 liters is larger than the VW Golf’s.

The new Kia Ceed is equipped with a fully independent suspension – for better maneuverability and stability at high speeds. The engine range includes an updated petrol 1.0-liter 120-hp turbo and 1.4-liter motor of 100 and 140 hp.

With the Drive Mode Select system a driver can adjust the engine work and steering. The manufacturer claims the new Ceed will be the most high-tech car in its class.

Bluetooth connectivity, automatic lighting, keyless access will become standard, and for the first time for the model the windshield heating and Lane Follow Assist system will be available.

The list of available options also include an adaptive cruise control, parking assistance, blind areas warning, pedestrian recognition system etc
