The British are invited to participate in an online car scrappage program
The UK’s largest marketplace, AutoTrader, has launched an online car scrappage tool.
How it works? Entering the registration number of the car in the service field, the motorist promptly receives information about the available car scrappage schemes he can use and how much he can save.
We are talking about the method popular today to purchase a new environmentally friendly car, subject to sending an old car to scrap.
We wrote earlier about the car scrappage schemes and the incentives offered by the authorities.
Almost 17,000 car owners have already used this online tool from AutoTrader since its launch a week ago. As a result, AutoTrader specialists were able to get a relatively clear idea of the most popular models that are considered for scrapping, and even compiled the TOP10 cars that the British send to be scrapped more often than others.
This includes models in demand on the market, some of which are bestsellers, and not only in Great Britain.
One third (33%) falls on the Ford model, a little less (30%) – on the Volkswagen brand, and the most popular in the list is the Volkswagen Golf: it has 17% in the TOP 10, it’s the biggest share of them all.
Below see the list on the models included in the TOP 10:
- Volkswagen Golf
- Ford Focus
- Vauxhall Astra
- Ford Fiesta
- Vauxhall Corsa
- BMW 3-Series
- Volkswagen Polo
- Ford Mondeo
- Honda Civic
- Volkswagen Passat
