The 2019 Volvo’s S60 Photo With No Masking Occurred On The Internet
The Audi A4, BMW 3-Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class are the main rivals of the 2019 Volvo S60 – a new generation sedan that the Swedish automaker is preparing to mass production at full speed. The first photo without masking got on the Internet.
The picture has been taken at the car factory in Torsland and published by Teknikens Varld. The photo shows a prototype of almost serial production with gray body paint, black light alloy wheels and two trapezoidal exhaust tips.
The shape of the rear lights and a rear trunk are similar to the S90 flagship, which should not be surprising given that they are both built on the same Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) platform.
For the Volvo V60 wagon of the new generation, which the automaker officially introduced before the sedan, two diesel engines (D3 and D4) of 150 and 190 hp are offered, as well as two variants of petrol 250- and 310-hp ones (T5 and T6).
In addition, customers will be able to select a version from one of the hybrid powertrains – T6 Twin Engine or T8 Twin Engine. The latter has a total output is 390 hp.
The 2019 Volvo S60 sedan will probably have the same motor range.
Its production will begin in the second quarter of this year in South Carolina (USA). Here, the Swedish automaker intends to produce 60,000 cars in the first year of production. If the demand is good, the production can be increased to 100,000 units per year.
