10 best-selling models in Great Britain in 2017
Despite the fact that the British TOP 10 by the results of sales in 2017 included mostly familiar models, there were new players, British Autocar reports. Supermini and hatchbacks remain the most popular.
The leader of sales was the Ford Fiesta. It was purchased by 94,533 people. The European bestseller Volkswagen Golf in the UK was the second with a result of 74,605 cars sold.
The third place is taken by the Ford Focus (69,903 registrations), the fourth by the Nissan Qashqai crossover (64,216 registrations), the fifth by Opel / Vauxhall Corsa (52,772 registrations).
The TOP 10 also included the Opel / Vauxhall Astra, Volkswagen Polo, Mini and two models of Mercedes-Benz – the C-Class and A-Class.
Interestingly, the A-class knocked out the Nissan Juke of the TOP 10 and overtook two of its main competitors – the Audi A3 and BMW 1-Series.
